September 2009The green way to go back to school
Lunch is another easy target for greening. Do you pack or buy a lunch? If possible, packing a lunch is the better option for the environment and it can save money too! Try using a reusable lunch bag rather than a paper one. Another green tip is to avoid individually wrapped packages; buy in bulk and portion food in reusable containers. Have a great and green school year!

There
are a lot of green options for back to school. With the green movement
going strong, earth friendly products are cheaper and easier to find! Look
for back to school supplies made from recycled content, sustainable fibers
(organic cotton, bamboo, etc.), or biodegradable/ easily recycled materials.; Of
course, only buy new if you need to, using what you have requires
far fewer resources and creates less waste.|
