2008 Fall Appeal

Kingman Museum’s Annual Fall Appeal begins October 3, 2008 and ends December 31, 2008. You are invited to invest in Kingman Museum and its quality educational programs.  If you are new to our website or organization, Kingman Museum is the only natural history museum in Calhoun County and is one of few family attractions in the area open year round.

• We offer a state-of-the-art full dome, high definition planetarium with fun and exciting shows beginning November 28, 2008. 
• We are affordable. 
• We provide self learning educational experiences for all ages.  
• We have outstanding collections of rocks, minerals, fossils, mounted animal specimens, and more. 

Kingman Museum provides after-school and summer programming for the at-risk children of Battle Creek.  We present a monthly lecture series on topical issues, items from our collection, or information on “natural history” in general.  For children 6 – 12 years old, we provide “break” programs at an extremely reasonable price:  Wild Kingman (July), Out of this World Space Adventure (December); and Kingman Beach (April).  In October we have our annual Spooky Science Saturday offering a fun-filled day of physical science experiments for the entire family, and it’s FREE.  Our anniversary celebration every February is also FREE.  We present two temporary exhibitions every year and are currently renovating our permanent exhibitions and bringing them up to acceptable museum standards. 

Your tax deductible contribution today will help us continue with our exciting programs.  This past year 15,000 people visited Kingman Museum and its events.  We need you to invest in Kingman Museum and help it continue as a major contributor to the quality of place enjoyed by the residents of Calhoun County. 

If you send a gift of $150 or more, it will include a one-year membership providing you and your family unlimited visits to Kingman Museum, discounted planetarium fees beginning in 2009, and free or discounted admission to over 280 museums worldwide.
